The Estimate

A well-executed move starts with an accurate estimate and thorough planning. Our estimators have the experience and attention to detail to provide you with an accurate and fair estimate so that you have a realistic idea of the charges and time required before your move starts. In addition to providing an estimate of charges, your estimator will discuss packing options and valuation (insurance) options and will help you understand the moving process.

The Packing

Packing service is optional, but you can choose a partial pack job or a full pack job. If you decide to have Burgess pack your belongings, you can be assured that they will be packed thoroughly using proper boxes and packing materials. Our packing crew is experienced in packing your most treasured possessions so that they arrive safely.

The Move

The Burgess moving crew is a team of professionals with the equipment, experience, and care necessary to handle and load your possessions efficiently, and without damage to your home or to your furniture.

Your preparation and planning are also key to a successful move. Try to plan and prepare ahead as much as possible. Before the estimator arrives, decide what items to donate or sell and what items to move. Decide what items you want the moving company to pack, and what items you will pack yourself. Make sure you show the estimator everything that needs to be moved so that your estimate is as accurate as possible.
